Stonehenge pupil to be mascot at the Rugby World Cup

Congratulations to Year 8 students Chester Wilman, who along with his Salisbury RFC team attended a Land Rover Premiership Rugby Cup at Bath Rugby last season.

It was there that he impressed with his speech to the England team ahead of the Rugby World Cup 2015 Final, which has now earned him his own spot in the tournament.

The Stonehenge School pupil will now be Uruguay’s mascot when they face Wales in their opener at the Millennium Stadium on September 20.

He said: "I can’t wait to walk out in front of the audience at that stadium."

“Rugby means an awful lot to me. I wish to perform on a professional level.“I am really overwhelmed about having this honour and all my friends were really surprised and happy when I told them.”
