Enterprise Day

On Wednesday 1st November Louise Brannan from Enabling Enterprise came to run a Business in a Day with the G&T students in Years 7, 8 and 9.  Enabling Enterprise is an award-winning partnership of over 250 primary and secondary schools and over 125 employers transforming students' enterprise skills across England.

The objective for the students was to work through a number of clear, fast paced tasks that by the end of the day resulted in them creating their own business, with a brand, a product to sell and the market they wanted to sell to.  Each team comprised of five students, with each  taking on and important directorship role that was determined through questions to see where their strengths lie. It was a great learning curve for them out of the class room environment enabling them to develop skills within themselves that they may not know they had.

The environment today was totally  different for the students. It was great to see them thrive, develop and really get on board with the task in  hand. Seeing them overcome problems, work as a team and produce excellent work as a result of their effort was fantastic.
